We assist our clients with the registration, renewal and defence of their patent and designs at the relevant registries as well as with the issuance of legal opinions on varied patent and designs issues.
Services on a number of Intellectual Property (IP) matters, including, the registration, use and enforcement of trademarks, copyright, patents, industrial design and trade secrets, licensing, technology transfer (interfacing with the National Office for Technology Acquisition and Promotion).
We also represent leading technology companies in their international and local trademark, design and patent disputes at the various courts of record in Nigeria.

Dr. Adeoye Adefulu is a partner in the law firm of Odujinrin & Adefulu with over 20 years of professional experience spanning the fields of petroleum law & policy, electricity law & policy, corporate & project finance. He obtained his law degree from the University of Lagos and was called to the Nigerian Bar. He also holds a Masters’ and Doctorate degree from the Centre for Energy Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP), Scotland.
Dr. Adefulu’s interests include oil and gas regulatory reform, gas utilisation, energy reform, energy transition and environmental law. He regularly speaks at local and international fora on Nigerian energy matters.
Dr. Adefulu was involved with the Petroleum Industry Bill (“PIB”) from its initial drafts in 2009 till its passage in 2021. He is the Managing Editor of www.petroleumindustrybill.com, the leading information portal that provides up-to-date information on the Petroleum Industry Bill (now the Petroleum Industry Act 2021). He was a member of the Nigerian National Assembly’s Technical Committee on Petroleum Industry Reforms from 2015 to 2019.
He advises several indigenous and international oil companies on the implementation of the Petroleum Industry Act.
Dr. Adefulu is the Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association – Section on Business Law (NBA-SBL).
