Olubukola Olabiyi (“Bukki”) is a Partner in the Corporate, Commercial and Capital Market team with vast professional experience in the general practice of law and extensive experience in matters relating to corporate governance and commercial law as well as the capital market. She leads the unit responsible for the provision of corporate services to clients at the firm and has advised both national and international clients on varied number of transactions.

Bukki has developed a keen understanding of the policy, legal and regulatory frameworks relating to general corporate/commercial matters. She supervises the team that advises international parent companies on legal compliance requirements of their local subsidiaries vis-à-vis Nigerian law and legal issues on internal restructuring. She has led the Firm’s team on a number of innovative transactions in the commercial practice space.

Bukki was a member of the panel on Corporate Governance at the 2015 International Bar Association Conference in Vienna. She was highlighted as a “recommended lawyer” in the Corporate/Commercial category of the Chambers Global Guide 2018 and was one of the recipients of the top 40 Under 40 lawyers at the ESQ Nigerian Legal awards in 2018.  Bukki was Chairperson of the Young Lawyers’ Forum of the Nigerian Bar Association, Section on Business Law (‘NBA-SBL’) as well as the Coordinator of the Association’s inaugural Mentorship Program. She was the Publicity Secretary for the Capital Market Solicitors Association (2019-2021) and is currently the First Vice Chairman of the Capital Market Committee of the NBA-SBL.

Bukki holds a law degree from the University of Buckingham and has been called to the Nigerian Bar. She is currently a member of the International Bar Association (IBA), the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), and the Business Recovery & Insolvency Practitioners Association of Nigeria (BRIPAN).
